Hero Siege is a fast-paced pixel-art ARPG with unique classes, deep builds, and a player-driven economy. Panic Art Studios Ltd ships Steam app 269210, first released 29 January 2014, set in Tarethiel under siege by the Forces of Hell. Season 10 Ebontharn went live on 21 August 2026 and sends a seasonal hero through free Act 8, Odin, and Act 9 Ebontharn. This Hero Siege wiki tracks that live campaign path, the official 24- class roster, PanicNet trading rules, and the Steam loot ladder so you can start a run without buying a class first.
Tarethiel path
Season 10 made Act 8 free and part of natural campaign progression. Clear that act on the seasonal path, defeat Odin, then enter Act 9 Ebontharn — a new free base-game act rather than a paid chapter. Three Uber bosses ship with the season: Phantom Leviathan, Captain Grimtide, and the Blood Maiden. After Normal, waypoints stay in Nightmare; Nightmare is described as Hell 1, Hell as roughly Hell 4.5, then Inferno.
Wormholes remain the seasonal push mode for cosmetic skins, wings, and portraits. Steam store copy states the team never sells gameplay advantages. Glyphs do not return in Season 10 notes. Walk Act 8 first if you are landing mid-season; Ebontharn is gated on Odin, not on a cash shop ticket. Relic Storage lands in the same patch, so relic swaps happen in inventory instead of a stash trip between Act 8 and the Ubers. If you are coming from Season 9, Incarnation and Ether are already unlocked at their old thresholds; Season 10 only adds nodes and the Ebontharn act on top.
Start in Act 8 on the free path, kill Odin, then enter Act 9. Phantom Leviathan, Captain Grimtide, and the Blood Maiden are the Season 10 Ubers after that gate. Inferno sits after Hell in the rewritten ladder, with Nightmare described as Hell 1 and Hell as roughly Hell 4.5. Relic Storage is already in inventory when you reach Ebontharn, so relic swaps do not need a town stash. Abyssal Chest levers belong to the same season as the act, not to a separate paid map.
Loot ladder
Steam lists 1000+ unique items across Magic, Satanic, Set, Heroic, Angelic, and Unholy, plus socketed Runewords on white bases. Season 10 adds Relic Storage in the inventory so relics can be swapped at any time, and 24 new uniques. Individual names live in the in-game Adventure Journal, the encyclopedia for mechanics, uniques, runewords, prospecting recipes, crafting recipes, and augments.
Farm with the official rarity names in mind, then identify specific uniques in the Journal during a run. Tarethiel Market in Mos'Arathim is the player listing layer once PanicNet is linked.
Read Magic as randomized fill, Satanic as the named unique hunt, Set as handcrafted sets, then Heroic, Angelic, and Unholy as further handcrafted rungs. Runewords are crafted on white socketed bases, not dropped as a seventh unique family. Adventure Journal holds the individual names. Season 10 adds 24 uniques and Relic Storage. Tarethiel Market in Mos'Arathim is where linked accounts list those finds.
Twenty-four official classes
playherosiege.com lists 24 named classes with artwork. Season 10 moved Marauder, Plague Doctor, Shield Lancer, and J ö tunn into the base game; prior DLC owners received a premium skin. Viking still has the official site blurb about frost, fury, and primal rage. Prophet is Steam DLC 4204900, a summoner, mage, and shapeshifter sold with Carrion Worm, Ravens, Ents, and Spirit of the Forest summons.
Each class spends into two main skill trees plus sub-skill trees that reshape active abilities. Incarnation opens at hero level 100. Pick a now-free class if you want a seasonal start without a class pack, then compare remaining paid DLC on the roster page.
Marauder, Plague Doctor, Shield Lancer, and J ötunn are the four Season 10 base unlocks. Viking still carries the frost-and-fury site blurb. Prophet remains Steam DLC 4204900. Two class trees plus sub-skills define the body before Incarnation at 100. Filter paid-dlc when you want the remaining twelve packs. Steam stills on this home page are product art, not the publisher class CDN.
PanicNet before the Market
From Season 7, Hero Siege prompts PanicNet account linking to Steam or Google Play. Linked accounts keep Market, mailbox, trading, and chat; unlinked accounts cannot trade. Season 9 notes say items and gold are 100% server-authoritative to block duping. Steam categories include online co-op, shared or split-screen co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer.
Family Share was disabled because it was exploited to bypass bans. Previously shared users may need to re-link PAS accounts to personal Steam accounts. Link PanicNet before you need Mos'Arathim listings, not after a locked trade.
